Early Career Investigators (ECIs) and PhD students from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) participating in the NOAR COST Action are eligible to apply for ITC Conference Grants. ITC Conference Grants have been established to support ECIsand PhD students from participating ITCs to attend international science and technology related conferences that are not organized by the COST Action, on the topic of the Action.

Some examples of upcoming conferences for participation are the following:

  1. International Symposium on Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (ISRS) 2022, 29th May – 2nd June, Nantes, France (late-breaking abstract submission open from January 14 through February 4, 2022);
  2. 6th Theranostics World Conference, 24th -26th June, 2022, Wiesbaden, Germany (abstract submission from 15th January through 15th March, 2022)
  3. European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM Conference 2022, 15th – 19th October 2022, Barcelona, Spain (abstract deadline 25th April, 2022)

Eligibility for ITC Conference grants:

  1. Conference Grants are exclusively reserved for PhD students and ECIs with a primary affiliationat an institution located in an ITC.
  2. The applicant must make an oral or poster presentation at the conference in question and must belisted in the official event/conference programme. The main subject of the presentation at the approved conference must be on or closely related to the topic of the Action, such as radiobiological studies on alpha emitters or iodine radiochemistry, and must acknowledge COST. The relatedness of the topic to the Action must be addressed in the application.
  3. The participation of each applicant must be pre-approved by the Action MC. Attendance at European conferences is preferred. However, conferences held elsewhere can also be considered.

Please send your application to all four committee members.

Applications may be submitted at any time.

MC Members from ITCs (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Macedonia) are kindly asked to inform compatriot ECIs and PhD students of the possibility to apply for such a grant. ITC Conference Grants will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, therefore applications should be made well in advance of the conference.

Reports:

The Grantee has 30 calendar days from the end date of the conference in question to submit a scientific report to the ITC Conference Grant Committee. ITC Conference Grant reports must be submitted at least 5 working days before the end date of the GP in which the conference has taken place. The current GP ends on October 31st2022.

The report should not be less than 1 page and include the following:

  1. Aims and objectives of the conference participation
  2. Description of poster or oral presentation
  3. Attached the poster or oral presentation, and any awards received
  4. Acknowledgements to COST and the NOAR Action as stated in the Vademecum
  5. Documentation of the costs for travel, accommodation and conference fees. For any virtual conferences attended, only conference fees will be reimbursed
  6. Certificate of Attendance
  7. Failure to submit the scientific report in time will effectively cancel the grant 
  8. The final report will be uploaded to the NOAR webpage.Applicants agree to the upload of the final report when submitting the document.
